Game

All game hunted are mature males and all trophies will be good representatives of the species. Almost all will meet the SCI minimum standards. Hunting on the plains is primarily done on the 35 000 acres of Jakkalskuil or in the nearby area. We also have one of the best concessions for bird shooting in the Karoo.

Packages

For first -timers to Africa there are a "nine days, nine animal" or a "six days, six animal" package. The old -timers normally build their own custom - hunting package from the pricelist to suit their needs.

Hunters should work on a one animal per day per person basis, as we believe in walking and stalking our prey.
Bow hunts are supported - this is where the hunter can show his skills on the karoo plains
We also specialize in Black Powder hunting.

Hunting equipment and clothing

• a pair of good binoculars, pocketknife, video camera / camera.
• Lightweight hunting clothes with a warm jacket will be most suitable, as
it gets hot soon after sunrise, and cold at night.
• khaki colored or camouflage suits are preferable and do not forget a hat
and sun block lotion.
Safety measures:
• We require all our hunters to supply their own medical insurance and to sign an indemnity form on arrival.
• a well-stocked medicine chest is kept, but specific or prescription medicines should be brought from the client's home country.

Accommodation

A comfortable, well-equipped and serviced Bush Camp provides facilities for eight hunters. For your convenience there is electricity, but also a "Lapa" to build a campfire during the nights.
Within walking distance of the Bush Camp, Eland, Impala, Springbuck, Steinbuck, and Guinea fowl roam free and can be observed in their natural habitat.

Additional tours

There are hiking trails where one can see pre-historic rock engravings and working tools as well as an abundance of animal and plant life.
During a night drive you'll see the Karoo come alive with all the shy nocturnal creatures.
Tours to nearby Anglo Boer War sites are available on request.
